I am a husband-to-be, law enforcement officer, veteran, and proud member of my community. I have always valued service, family, and helping others.
Cancer has had a significant impact on both my family and my fiancée’s family. I lost my father to colon cancer and my grandmother to cancer at a young age. Losing two people I loved to cancer has given me a personal understanding of how deeply this disease affects not only the person fighting it but also the family and loved ones standing beside them. Cancer has also deeply affected my fiancée’s family. Her Uncle Al survived metastatic throat cancer, only to later lose his life to bone marrow cancer. Seeing the lasting impact of that loss has made this cause deeply personal to me and strengthened my desire to support families still facing that fight.
